Innovation as a way of being

Since our origins, research has been at the heart of El Pinar. We are driven by the desire to find new solutions and varieties that respond to the real needs of farmers and consumers. We do not understand innovation as an isolated project, but as a constant attitude: to try, rehearse, learn and start again.

  • Innovative DNA since 1985

We explore the unknown to cultivate what is coming

We are seeking, together with international programs such as Plant Sciences Inc., new varieties of strawberry, raspberry, blackberry and blueberry. We have been collaborating with them for more than 20 years to offer unique red fruits in flavor, resistance and performance.

Where the new is born

We have research centres in Lucena del Puerto (Huelva) and Coca (Segovia). There, our technical team tests hundreds of varieties every year in collaboration with international breeders, always with the aim of anticipating the future of the sector.

Research that is on the ground

We carry out commercial trials in farmers’ fields around the world to adapt each variety to each territory. We do not research only from an isolated laboratory, but from the reality of those who work the land.

  • Global trials with farmers

Innovation is also caring

A large part of our investment is aimed at a more efficient use of water, an increasingly scarce resource. We have redesigned our crops with systems that allow us to optimize irrigation and nutrient supply, achieving higher quality fruits with less impact.

  • Irrigation optimization

  • Lower environmental impact

  • Higher fruit quality

Less footprint, more engagement

We invest in eco-friendly packaging that reduces environmental impact, betting on sustainable materials and minimising the use of packaging. Because innovation is also measured in how we take care of what surrounds our fruits.

  • Recyclable Materials

  • Minimal Packaging

We grow the fruits we want to eat

We produce the best organic and conventional red fruits in our fields in Segovia, Huelva and Portugal. Our commitment is taste and quality, we grow the fruits we want to eat. MUMU are also our fruits and they are MMM…
